The Spanish Association of International Economics and Finance (AEEFI) was established in June 1999, and its main objectives are: (i) promoting research on international economics and finance, (ii) facilitating cooperation and participation in international research projects, and (iii) keeping close relationships with other professional organizations with similar interests, both at the national and international levels.

AEEFI sets up since the onset as the Spanish Chapter of the International Economics and Finance Society (IEFS), and its main regular activities are:

• The organization, on a biannual basis, of the Conferences on International Economics.
• The edition of the working paper series Working Papers on International Economics and Finance.
